SYNOPSIS
Jiang Zhi Shu and Yuan Xiang Qin are now married. After a chaotic honeymoon, the couple comes back to Taiwan and starts on their life together as husband and wife.
Xiang Qin struggles to be a good wife to Zhi Shu while attending nursing school. Her lack of intellect (and common sense, sometimes) gets her in trouble as always. Meanwhile, Zhi Shu attends medical school and he experiences a lot of problems with academic rivals.
REVIEW
I felt I had to watch They Kiss Again because I wanted to have a closure of sorts in Jiang Zhi Shu and Yuan Xiang Qin's story. I watched 惡作劇之吻 It Started With A Kiss, the prequel to this drama, at the time when I still insisted that I need to finish what I've started.
I think the conflicts between the two lead characters in the prequel remained the same in this drama but because they have already professed their love to each other and they are already married, things are more restrained this time around.
I had to suspend some disbelief when it comes to Xiang Qin studying to be a nurse and working in a hospital. Although she's a passionate person, the medical profession is a sensitive field and I don't think I'd feel assured as a patient if she's my nurse.
They Kiss Again also tackled the relationship problems of the other characters like the second male lead Jin Yuan Feng, also known as Ah Jin, with foreigner Christine Robinson, Xiang Qin's friend Lin Chun Mei with her boyfriend Ah Bu, and even Zhi Shu's younger brother Jiang Yu Shu with his classmate Lin Hao Mei.
Yu Shu and Hao Mei's story mirrors that of Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin. I prefer Hao Mei's characterization though because she's smarter than Xiang Qin. I also like the fact that although she's in love with Yu Shu, her life did not revolve around him and she made choices that are for her best interests.
