SYNOPSIS
Oh Ha Ni is a stupid girl with a good disposition in life. She idolizes Baek Seung Jo who is goodlooking, a great athlete, and the smartest person at her school.

Ha Ni expresses her feelings to Seung Jo through a letter but he gives it back to her with corrections, and he tells her that he doesn't like stupid people.

Ha Ni and her dad are left homeless when their house collapses, but her dad's long-time friend invites the two to stay at his house. Ha Ni is delighted to find out that her dad's friends are Seung Jo's parents, and she gets to live with Seung Jo under the same roof.

Ha Ni is ecstatic for the opportunity to be close to Seung Jo. Although he has already rejected her, Ha Ni is hopeful that Seung Jo will love her the same way that she loves him.

REVIEW
I don't really like the premise of Playful Kiss, which is based on the Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss. Considering that I already watched the same story twice (the Japanese adaptation イタズラなKiss (Itazura na Kiss) and the Taiwanese adaptation 惡作劇之吻 It Started With A Kiss), I didn't think I'd actually watch it again for the third time.

I watched this particular adaptation because I find actresses Jung So Min and Le Si Young quite charming. Jung So Min plays her character in a very compelling way and I will definitely keep an eye out for her future projects.

I have to say that I found the premise of a really intelligent guy and a downright stupid girl falling in love really outrageous. I just think it is such an impossible concept because given the fact that they are on very different aspects of thinking, on the opposite ends actually, I think it's difficult for the two of them to find some common ground.

Anyway, I think I still watched the drama because although I don't like the overall story, there are some parts that I'm extremely fond of. I especially like the different ways that the guy shows the girl his feelings; his actions are subtle but very meaningful.

Honestly, I find the drama entertaining at times but nothing special. There are some supposedly heartwarming scenes in the story, which is why I still watched the drama even though I don't really like the overall premise. However, when I watched these scenes in Playful Kiss, it didn't really do anything for me. But I think my perception is affected by the fact that I watched the drama after watching two other adaptations.
