SYNOPSIS
Cha Chi Soo is the arrogant son of the owner of the biggest food conglomerate in Korea. He just came back from the US and he is earnestly trying to evade the bodyguards his father sent to take him home. He searches for long-lost friends that his father doesn't know about so he won't be found.

Yang Eun Bi is 25 years old and she's preparing for her civil service exam so she could become a high school teacher. She accidentally runs into Chi Soo a couple of times and she makes a lot of assumptions about him such as his age and occupation. On her first day as an assistant teacher at Cha Sung High School, she was surprised to find out that Chi Soo is 19 years old and a high school student.

Eun Bi is estranged with her father who runs a ramyun shop. Her father suddenly dies and his will states that he leaves the ramyun shop to his former apprentice and his friend's son, the lazy Choi Kang Hyuk. Eun Bi's father also left her in Kang Hyuk's care, essentially asking Kang Hyuk to marry his daughter.

REVIEW
Flower Boy Ramyun Shop was a fun drama but I really can't get behind the love story of Cha Chi Soo and Yang Eun Bi. Actually, they do have some cute moments together and it seems that they are meant for each other but I just can't get past the facts that Chi Soo is a high school student and Eun Bi is a teacher at his school.

I suppose some people will argue that their ages are pretty close (19 years old and 25 years old) and they actually met a couple of times outside the school setting, so essentially it's not strictly a student-and-teacher affair.

However, the fact is, at the time that Chi Soo and Eun Bi met and started to get romantically involved, they are in that particular stage wherein Chi Soo is high school student and Eun Bi is a teacher, or his teacher in particular.

I suppose it doesn't help the love triangle that Choi Kang Hyuk seems like the ideal man. Although Kang Hyuk has his faults, his good points more than make up for his bad points. He's old enough, he's mature, he's handsome, he has a great body, and he has a career so he can earn a living. He also loves Eun Bi, and he not only appreciates her faults, he considers these faults as her good points.
