REVIEW
I don't really like the lead characters in Kare wa, Imōto no Koibito so fortunately, it is quite short at around less than two hours since each episode runs for like ten to fifteen minutes. It would be frustrating to watch Miyuki and Haruka for a longer period of time, that's for sure.
I understand that Miyuki is timid and shy so I don't really expect her to confess her feelings to a guy she likes. I do, however, expect her to listen to a guy as he confesses his feelings to her and to answer to the confession honestly, whether she likes the guy or not. A high school student is mature enough to be able to do at least that, right?
It was also frustrating when she met that same guy and she denied remembering anything when he asked her if she remembers his attempt at confessing his feelings when they were in high school. She clearly does because she kept his gift and she's still pining for him so I don't get why she lied to him. I mean, she's several years older so hopefully she's much more mature and that was the perfect opportunity for her to amend her past mistakes.
I don't understand how the guy can still like her and how she can still love him even after all these years because well, they didn't really have much history to reminisce on. Their interactions when they met again a few years later are supposed to be romantic but I can't help but remember the wasted time they could have had together if Miyuki listened to the guy's confession in high school and she also confessed her real feelings.
Miyuki's younger sister Haruka is supposed to be cute but she's too manipulative and calculating to actually be considered cute in an endearing way. It's irritating how she can always get her way because of her machinations but I suppose it can actually be considered as one of her talents in its own way.
