REVIEW
It is not surprising that Liar Game 2 came about because the drama prequel was so successful. I was initially worried about how the story will continue because there was already a closure of sorts in ライアーゲーム Liar Game but the story flow from the first drama was done wonderfully and some other interesting plot points were added this time around.
I really like how the drama makes people think in creative and logical ways. It's interesting how some acts that can be deemed impossible are actually quite possible if you think things through.
The drama still retains fantastical or out-of-the-real-world elements, with some characters who are borderline caricatures and has eccentric mannerisms. But then again, these characters react the typical way most people would do when experiencing emotions such as fear and greed.
I still think that Kanzaki Nao's character is too good to be true and I still maintain that someone like her cannot really exist in this world. Perhaps this just means that I'm quite cynical and jaded in a way, but Nao is really something else.
There was an instance in the drama wherein Nao didn't ask Akiyama Shinichi's opinion and suggestions about how she's supposed to do things. When Shinichi asked her why, Nao said she wanted to try to do things on her own and to stop always relying on him. I'm really glad that she's learning to become independent somehow.
