Kang Baek Ho is an easy-go-lucky guy who always loses money in good-for-nothing business schemes. When his mother remarries the owner of Bonjour Foods, Baek Ho goes to work in the company's marketing department.

Na Dan Poong is a marketing team leader at Bonjour Foods and she becomes Baek Ho's superior. Dan Poong is dating Jang Hyun Woo, a plastic surgeon and Baek Ho's friend.

Na Sun Jae is good looking, smart, and Dan Poong's older brother. He met his girlfriend Hwang Ji Young when they were in college. But to further his ambitions, he breaks up with Ji Young to marry Bong Soo Ah, Baek Ho's stepsister and the only daughter of the owner of Bonjour Foods.

REVIEW
Kang Baek Ho is the protagonist of I Hate You But It's Fine but it's really hard to get behind the character because he has no redeeming qualities at the start of the drama. He is irresponsible, he is not smart, he is not educated, he doesn't work, and he has no plans for his future.

At 172 episodes, this is one of the longest dramas I have ever watched but I think the length of each episode is only around 30 minutes. The only advantage of the drama's length is that the relationship between Baek Ho and Na Dan Poong developed from being acquaintances to friends to co-workers to lovers, and eventually married couple.

Spoiled princess Bong Soo Ah, Baek Ho's stepsister, is played by charismatic actress Yoo In Young. Soo Ah is someone you would hate as a character but Yoo In Young's portrayal made her sympathetic.

Even at the end of the drama, Baek Ho is the quintessential 'every man;, an ordinary person with average capabilities. I don't find that he's a good guy particularly impressive because well, there are a lot of good guys in the world. There aren't enough good guys in the world for everyone but they are not considered endangered species, I think.

It's also revealed in the end that Baek Ho is the real son of his rich adoptive father. Although it's great that he's actually rich, I don't find this fact particularly important because it's not really something he has control over. He's rich because someone he's associated with is rich, and not because of his own hard work.
