SYNOPSIS

オレンジレンジ Orange Range - イケナイ太陽 Ikenai Taiyo (Naughty Sun)

During Valentine's Day, Nakatsu Shuichi is investigating when Sano Izumi fell in love with Ashiya Mizuki, a girl who pretended to be a boy so she can attend exclusive school for boys Osaka Gakuen. He thinks it happened sometime during the last week of summer vacation.

At the time, Mizuki's close friend Julia from the US came to Japan to bring her back. Julia thinks Mizuki has fallen in love with Izumi but it's pointless for Mizuki to stay beside him because he thinks Mizuki is a guy.

Shuichi aspires of becoming a professional soccer player, and he dreams of playing in the World Cup games. His mother intends for Shuichi to manage the family business, and she wants him to forget about pursuing his own dreams.

Tennoji Megumi of Dorm 1, Nanba Minami of Dorm 2, and Himejima Masao or Oscar of Dorm 3, are all graduating from high school. Hanayashiki Hibari of St. Blossom's Academy is also graduating with the dorm leaders of Osaka Gakuen.

REVIEW

大塚愛 Otsuka Ai - Peach

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e is a great drama to watch if you want to see a lot of handsome guys since the setting is an all-boys school. It has an amazing ensemble cast, and I think the scenes where all the characters are together are the best parts of the drama.

My favorite character is Nakatsu Shuichi. He is a wacky, happy-go-lucky guy who finds himself attracted to his classmate Ashiya Mizuki, whom he thinks is also a guy. In this drama, he is trying to figure out when his best friend Sano Izumi fell in love with Mizuki.

This is a little confusing because the setting is the present, and then it changes to a certain point in the past, or to be particular sometime between the episode 07 and episode 08 of 花ざかりの君たちへ Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. and so on and so forth.

Anyway, I don't find cross-dressing as a very interesting concept, to be honest. I can't believe Mizuki went to great lengths to be with Izumi, and it's not actually believable that Mizuki managed to conceal her identity for as long as she did.
