SYNOPSIS

オレンジレンジ Orange Range - イケナイ太陽 Ikenai Taiyo (Naughty Sun)

Ashiya Mizuki is a Japanese girl who lives in the United States. Mizuki idolizes Sano Izumi, a young athlete who competes in high jump. While Izumi is in the US for a competition, he sees Mizuki being chased by gangsters and he gets injured as he helps Mizuki escape.

Although Izumi's injuries have healed completely, he hasn't undergone any training ever since the incident. Mizuki decides to go to Japan ,and attend Izumi's school so she encourage him to compete again.

The thing is, Izumi studies in Osaka Gakuen, an exclusive school for boys, and Mizuki would have to pretend to be a guy so she can enroll there.

REVIEW

大塚愛 Otsuka Ai - Peach

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e is a great drama to watch if you want to see a lot of good-looking guys since the setting is an all-boys school. It has an amazing ensemble cast, and I think the scenes where all the characters are together are the best parts of the drama.

My favorite character is Nakatsu Shuichi. He is a wacky, happy-go-lucky guy who finds himself attracted to his classmate Ashiya Mizuki, whom he thinks is also a guy. Most of the funny moments in the drama can be attributed to Shuichi as he tries to deal with his feelings and entertain the idea that he may be gay.

Anyway, I don't find cross-dressing as a very interesting concept, to be honest. I can't believe Mizuki went to great lengths to be with Izumi, and it's not actually believable that Mizuki managed to conceal her identity for as long as she did.
