SYNOPSIS
Ishikawa Yuri works as a police detective who handles cold cases, which are cases that happened years ago that remained unsolved.
Yuri, together with her colleagues Motoki Hidetoshi, Tachikawa Daisuke, Kaneko Toru, and Takagi Shinjiro, finds new evidence in cold cases that allows them to reopen the investigations.
REVIEW
Cold Case is an interesting drama about cold cases, which are cases that happened years ago that remained unsolved.
It's fascinating how Yuri and her colleagues work hard in solving cases that happened long ago, when the victim's families and everyone else has managed to live their lives dealing with the fact that the case is not resolved and the victim's killers are not apprehended. Although they encounter difficulties as they conduct their investigations, they are resolute in working hard for the victim's sake.
The Japanese drama is a remake of an American television series with the same title. I usually watch the original before the adaptation, but this is a rare instance wherein I watched the adaptation first and I have no interest in watching the original.
