SYNOPSIS
Tadakuni, Tanaka Yoshitake, and Tabata Hidenori are good friends who always get into trouble together. They are students at the Sanada North Boys High School and, like most of their classmates, they haven't had much interaction with girls their age.

Their daily lives are upended when their school decided to hold a joint festival with the Sanada Central High School, a high school for girls.

REVIEW
Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō is a movie about the daily lives of high school boys. It is told from a boy's perspective, though I'm not certain about the accuracy of the depiction of teenage boys. It is based on a manga, which was also adapted into an anime.

I think some scenes in the movie are exaggerated for entertainment purposes, because even if some boys are awkward when interacting with girls, not all boys are like that. Even if boys are nervous and tense on the inside when they meet girls, they would try to act as normal as possible on the outside; normal in the sense that how a relatively sane person acts and reacts in a social situation.

I watched Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō way passed my teenage years but it's interesting how some things remain the same; such as how boys and girls are clueless when it comes to the opposite sex. It's funny how boys think they are acting cool but girls think they're the complete opposite, or how boys think doing something will impress the girls but the girls are insulted instead.

I like how the movie shows that there are times when some things or some people are very important to someone, so much so that these things or those people become so much larger than life. I also like how the movie presented that some interactions are very memorable to some people but these very same experiences are next to nothing to other people who had gone through it. It reminded me about how significant perspective is in all things.
