SYNOPSIS
嵐 Arashi - 果てない空 Hatenai Sora (Endless Sky)One year has passed since Take Seiji became a full time employee at Oetsu Construction. Seiji hadn't really given much thought to marriage but after meeting Chiba Manami's mother, he is shocked to learn how Manami feels about her mother and towards marriage.
Having moved into their new home, the Take family have been living there peacefully until their mother's brother shows up one day while she is out. Seiji and Nagata Ayako discover that their parents had in fact married despite objection from their mother's family.
REVIEW
西野カナ Nishino Kana - 君って Kimi tte (You Say)When this one-episode special drama production was first announced, I wondered how else the story would develop because although Take Seiji was not able to buy a house on his own at the end of Freeter, Ie wo Kau., he was able to buy one with the guarantee of his father Take Seīchi. However, I'm really glad there was a special drama though because marriage became the main theme of the production.
Seiji and Chiba Manami's relationship has been going strong but it's not going anywhere. Seiji was not really considering marriage but when he heard Manami say that she has no plans of getting married to anyone, he became more focused on marriage, in particular getting married to Manami and creating a family.
Toyokawa Teppei and Hoshino Akari are planning to get married soon but her parents are opposed to the marriage. Teppei has to work hard to gain her parent's acceptance of his relationship with Akari and approval for their upcoming marriage.
Teppei and Akari's situation mirrors Seiji's parents' situation when they were younger. The parents of Seiji's mother Take Sumiko are against her relationship with his father Take Seichi so she left home and never came back. Seiji and his older sister Nagata Ayako found out that their mother cut off all her ties with her own family when she chose to marry their father so they tried to help their mother to reconcile with her own family.
I can't imagine being in a relationship with someone and marrying someone that my family does not approve of because their approval means a lot to me. I also can't imagine cutting off all communication with my family because my relationship with them is very important to me. I wouldn't want to be in Sumiko's position wherein I have to choose between my family and the person I love, because I honestly don't know what I'll do.
