SYNOPSIS
Kang Hyun Se grew up without a father and he is estranged with his mother. He got involved with gangsters and he became part of the notorious Han Ban Do gang. After his mother's death, Hyun Se inherits a kindergarten school.
However, his mother's will stipulates that in order to gain legal ownership of the school property, Hyun Se must work at the school for at least 100 days. Hyun Se then becomes an assistant to a kindergarten teacher named Yoo Mi Rae.
REVIEW
Great Inheritance talks about the importance of relationships. It talks about being accepting of the past, no matter how hard it is to do so. The past, with the experiences we go through and the people we encounter, help us to become who we are right now and will definitely influence who we are going to be in the future.
The highlight of this drama is the children; they were really entertaining to watch. Each child character have established personalities such as the pretty girl, the tomboy girl, the popular boy, and the loner boy.
It was nice to see the children interacting with each other. I especially like the scenes where the little pretty girl makes googly eyes on her teacher Kang Hyung Se because she likes him.
The love story of the main characters is fairly straightforward. They've gone through some conflicts, of course, but nothing of the 'torn-between-two lovers' sort. This is a really good thing considering that there are a lot of side stories in the drama; the less complication with the main characters' love story, the better.
The lead actors' acting was irritating at first but they manage to tone it down to more realistic portrayals. Han Ji Min's overacting in the first few episodes may be too much to bear but she improves in the latter episodes.
