SYNOPSIS
Rafael González is the best salesman in the biggest department store in Madrid. He is a very ambitious man and he wants to become the new head of sales on his floor.

Rafael is in competition for the promotion with Don Antonio Fraguas, another successful salesman. Rafael kills his competitor but his crime is seen by Lourdes, a plain saleslady who has a crush on him. Lourdes helps him cover up his crime but in return, Rafael must do whatever she asks him to do.

Rafael is soon fed up with doing everything Lourdes wants and so he's planning to commit another crime -- a perfect crime with no mistakes and no witnesses.

REVIEW
I like El Crimen Ferpecto (yes, the misspelling is intentional) because Rafael González is a complex character. There are aspects of him that I admire, and then he has these characteristics that I hate. I like him for his ambition and work ethic, but I dislike him for his callous treatment of women.

Rafael González: Personally, I'd rather die than live a mediocre life, like most people... Don't think about it. Just do it. If you sit around waiting, you lose. Luck doesn't exist. You have to go for it everyday. Opportunities are out there waiting for you. You just need the courage to go after them.

There are times when I'm against him getting what he wants but then there are times when I'm rooting for him. Of course, I want him to be caught by the police for killing another person, albeit unintentionally. But then I want him to get away from Lourdes because she frankly seems crazy.

I had similar mixed feelings with Lourdes, actually. There are times that I feel bad for her, but then there are times that I feel disappointed with her choices and actions. There are times that she seems like a normal person, but then there are times that she seems really creepy.

I felt pity for Lourdes for being plain (if I'm being politically correct) or ugly (if I'm being honest). However, a lot of studies show that beautiful and charming people tend to be more popular and successful; that's just the way it is. People just generally gravitate to beauty and symmetry.
