SYNOPSIS
Asagi Haruya is a second-year university student who has to work hard to support himself because his parents have refused to give him any financial support. He works part-time at a construction company, but what he earns is barely enough to cover his rent and daily food expenses.
Haruya was asked by his schoolmate Nōmi Miu to help her figure out who is stalking her and who is sending her threatening anonymous letters. Haruya was hesitant to get involved, but Miu promised to give him a reward if he helps her solve the case.
REVIEW
Seishun Tantei Haruya is an interesting drama about smart and cool college student Asagi Haruya who can solve difficult cases during his free time. Although he handles serious cases, Haruya doesn't need to have a police badge to conduct his investigation.
I like Haruya's close relationship with his younger sister Asagi Fūka, even though he is estranged from their parents. Haruya also has good relations with his close friends Shinohara Toshiki, Kubodera Kazutomi, and Nōmi Miu.
However, I watched until the end to see if Haruya and Miu will get together as lovers. It is obvious right from the start that Miu likes him, but it seemed that Haruya doesn't feel the same way. I was hoping he'd see Miu in a different light, and it seemed that he thought she is special when they became much closer, but nothing happened officially. Which is such a shame, really, because they look great together.
Asagi Fūka: Dad said if there's something I want to do in the slightest, then do it. He says it will open up more possibilities.
