SYNOPSIS
Sakaki Ryo is a little fed up with his life. He's bored with his job of driving trucks around Japan and he wonders if there's something else he can do.

Ryo's friend Okawa Eitaro approaches him one day. Eitaro's girlfriend left him for a popular host and Eitaro needs Ryo's help to settle the matter. The host RenjoToru challenged Eitaro to defeat him from his number one position as a host in his club. Instead, Ryo accepts the challenge.

REVIEW
The first few episodes of Teioh follows Sakaki Ryo as he learns to become a host and as he challenges Renjo Toru for the number one position in the club where both are working in. Of course, he ends up becoming the number one host in his club and he goes in search of other challenges in his life.

The succeeding episodes of the drama are about how Ryo opens and manages his own business, a cabaret club. Later on, the drama talks about how Ryo grows his business into a string of cabaret clubs all over Japan.

I think the drama is about how people's choices lead them to things they didn't think possible. Ryo wanted to help his friend and he ended up becoming a host. As a host, he learns about the night life business which leads him to open a cabaret club. In the end, he ends up opening a string of cabaret clubs in Japan.

Ryo is an average guy who didn't manage to finish his education and he didn't really have any specific dreams in life. What he does is to properly do whatever job he has to do in front of him because he doesn't want to have any regrets and I think he learned it from his friend Seito Koichi.

Seito Koichi: It's pretty hard to find a job that suits yourself. You have to suit yourself to the job... Just do your best on what you are given like it is your true calling.

For people who also do not have an specific dreams or goals in their life, Ryo's success story is very inspiring. Although it would be great for people to have definite dreams and goals, not everyone would get to figure out what they want to do in their lives. For these people, it would be great if they can follow Ryo's example and properly do whatever jobs they have to do or they can do. And then, perhaps unknowingly, things will fall into place.
