SYNOPSIS

고운 - The Magic

Kang Cho Hong and her grandmothers Maeng Ye Seon and Jo Aeng Doo are witches who lead quiet lives in a small neighborhood in Seoul. They live on the second floor of the building where their restaurant is located.

Cho Hong works at her family's rice stew restaurant as a delivery person. Her older grandmother Ye Seon is the cook, and her other grandmother Aeng Doo is the waitress. Their restaurant is famous in their neighborhood with regular customers lining up for hours just to eat.

One day, a wealthy man named Ma Sung Tae shows up in front of their building to tell them that he is actually the owner of the building. In lieu of paying a hefty deposit for the building lease, Sung Tae will instead live on one of the rooms in the second floor of the building together with the three witches. Sung Tae is trying to remember a traumatic incident that happened to him when he was a little boy.

이소진 - Give Love

Witch's Love is an interesting drama about life; what it means to be a family, what it means to love someone, and what it means to be in a relationship with someone who your family does not approve.

I wonder what made me want to watch this drama actually. I think I saw a clip of Kang Cho Hong making her deliveries with a tower of soup bowls on top of her head, and I was intrigued. I was just planning to check out the first few episodes to see if I like it, and I was hooked.

Kang Cho Hong and Ma Sung Tae are great characters, but it's more probably because of the charismatic actors playing these characters and also due to their amazing chemistry together. Yoon So Hee and Hyun Woo may not be the best actors in terms of acting abilities, but they have a lot of charm individually and as a romantic couple.

Witch's Love a drama that is very enjoyable to watch; and I actually recommended it to a few people who had fun watching it. If you watch this drama, there are chances that you may not love it, but you'll probably like it or at least enjoy watching it.
