Kagitani Haruki, also known as Key: An adult person should stand up by himself (when he falls down).

Episode 02

Yamakawa Kaori: Well, there's no use in saying "what if" stories...

Kagitani Haruki, also known as Key: It's amazing that you can cheer up that much just with "what if" stories.
Kagitani Haruki, also known as Key: Go ahead and waste your life drinking with your girlfriends every night and talking about "what if" scenarios.

Yamakawa Kaori: Something like "you'll be happy if you work hard on yourself" or "shine by being yourself"; they only write those kinds of nice words in the magazines, right?

Kamata Rinko: Wait a minute. Isn't your attitude now completely different from the usual?
Kagitani Haruki, also known as Key: It's just that I can read the situation.

Kamata Rinko: I realized that the things I could easily throw away when I was young, are really far to reach right now.

Yamakawa Kaori: We can't go back to the past.
Tori Koyuki: Our time has passed before we realized it.
Kamata Rinko: We can't go back in time.

? Do you understand the difference between a girl and a woman? It's completely different, right?

Kamata Rinko: I didn't think that me being lazy as a woman would affect my work as well.

Kamata Rinko: What will happen from now on, I don't know.
Yamakawa Kaori: If this is love or not, I don't know.
Kamata Rinko: But we have no choice but to keep moving forward.
Yamakawa Kaori: Because we can't go back in time.
Kamata Rinko: Because we can't go back in time.

Episode 03

Yamakawa Kaori: If something happens, it's better than nothing.
Tori Koyuki: I don't know. I don't want to feel hurt at this point or have any bad memories. In that sense, I'd rather have nothing.

Yamakawa Kaori: Speaking of which, isn't it rare for you to fall in love at first sight?
Torī Koyuki: Instead of love at first sight, don't you know just by looking at somebody, that you might like that kind of person?

Episode 04

Episode 05

Tori Yasuo: Really... "three women make a market", that's what people say.

Episode 06

Episode 07

Yamakawa Kaori: What extravagances are you saying?!
Torī Koyuki: That's right. Just living costs money, you know?
Torī Koyuki: If you have time to be thinking such thoughts, you should rather be working.

Episode 08

Hayasaka Tetsuro: You'll never be as young as you are today!
Kamata Rinko: You'll never be as young as you are today!

Kamata Rinko: It's not like we're not working hard. We're working hard to be happy. So why is it that the present is so different from the future we imagined back then?

Arakawa Koichiro: ... "When a woman gets past 25 years old, time flies" Is this really true?
Kamata Rinko: Yes.
Arakawa Koichiro: You hear that a lot, that it's like climbing down a hill.
Kamata Rinko: I had heard of it, but really, when I got to 25, in just a second, I was already 30 years old.
Takeuchi ?: ... I'll just say one thing. Your thirties, double that speed, it's over in just a blink!

Kamata Rinko: It's not that easy.
Kagitani Haruki, also known as Key: Why?
Kamata Rinko: Because she knows about it and she still does it. If she didn't know what was going on, and it didn't go well, and she got hurt, then she could quit, but when you do it knowingly, it's not that easy.
Kamata Rinko: The older you get, the harder it is to do stuff like that, to end something or to begin something.

Kamata Rinko: Even if the future we imagined in the past is very different to the present... only we can decide what out happiness is.

Episode 09

Episode 10

Kamata Rinko: The first marriage wave was when we were 22 or 23 years old. Weddings were events full of dreams and aspirations. It's a period where both the bride and the guests feel like weddings are pure. We also bought new clothes, went to the beauty salon to have a professional do our hair and make-up, and went with enthusiasm. The bride had strong marriage desires, and was the happy and honest housewife type. The partner usually was her boyfriend since high school.
Kamata Rinko: Then, the second wave was when we were 28 or 29 years old. We had already gotten used to weddings, so we used clothes and accessories we already had, and we did our own hair and make-up. In marriages and weddings, it was a time when reality hit you hard... The bride was a a beauty and also the type to continue working hard. She would date her partner for a few years, and when her 30s started to creep up on her, she would settle.
Yamakawa Kaori: To be able to get married before 30 years old, I guess it's important to compromise.
Kamata Rinko: I guess now that we're 30, the third wave is starting!
Torī Koyuki: I guess women get desperate before they turn 35.
Yamakawa Kaori: They're pressured to get married no matter what.
