SYNOPSIS
Gōda Takeo is extremely tall and quite big for his age. The boys admire him for his physical prowess, but the girls are mostly scared of him. Takeo is very kind, and he's always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.
Takeo's best friend and next door neighbor Sunakawa Makoto, also known as Suna, is very popular with the girls because he is handsome and intelligent. Suna also has a great personality, except he's a little cold to people he is not close to.
On their way home from high school, Takeo and Suna sees a student from another high school being harassed by a molester. Takeo intervenes and confronts the molester who flees away. The student Yamato Rinko sincerely thanks Takeo for coming to her rescue, and he instantly falls in love with her.
REVIEW
Ore Monogatari!! is an interesting movie about first love. Gōda Takeo and Yamato Rinko like each other but they haven't told each other, and they have mistakenly made assumptions that the other person likes someone else.
Takeo's developing love story with Yamato Mei was fascinating to watch, and they were very cute as they show affection to the one they like who remains oblivious. Their antics were fun to watch, especially since the misunderstanding didn't last long.
Anyway, I think the movie is a wonderful story about friendships. Takeo and Sunakawa Makoto are childhood friends who really care about each other, and wish each other happiness. It seems that they both like Rinko at one point or another, but they didn't let that get in the way of their friendship.
