SYNOPSIS
Shen Ya Yin is a bright girl who lives with her aunt and her family. Ya Yin's aunt treats her as a gloried slave, much like Cinderella in the fairy tale; Ya Yin helps out at her aunt's restaurant without any compensation and she sleeps in the restaurant's storage room.

Qin Yu Jiang lost his parents while his father is doing a work assignment. His father's employer, the chairman, adopts Yu Jiang and raises him as his future successor.

Yu Jiang is close friends and good colleagues with Li Shang Lin, Gu Qing Feng, and Lu Ming Qiong. They belong in the chairman's inner circle and the chairman entrusts them with the difficult task of finding his long-lost granddaughter.

REVIEW
I'm afraid I didn't like the plot of When Love Walked In, mainly because it keeps hammering a particular point in as if I couldn't get it the first time. I don't know, too many signs or proofs to support a particular idea just seemed too forced and too calculated.

For instance, Shen Ya Yin and Qin Yu Jiang are meant to be together and that is because (1) they are childhood friends/sweethearts for one summer in Singapore, (2) they are chat mates who confide in each other about work, and (3) Ya Yin is the granddaughter of the company president who adopted Yu Jiang because his parents died while on a work assignment. and Ya Yin's grandfather wants her to marry Yu Jiang.

Anyway, I really like the close friendship between Yu Jiang, Li Shang Lin and Gu Qing Feng. You would actually wonder how they could remain good friends considering that their dysfunctional parents or parental figures are always trying to make them see the others as a rival or the enemy.

Actually, Shang Lin's younger sister Lu Ming Qiong is also part of their little group and I think it's great that the drama presented that men and women can be good friends, as well as brothers and sisters can be good friends.

To be honest, I only watched this drama because of Victoria Song. She's a very talented and graceful dancer, and I'm always in awe of her when she's in a musical performance with her idol group f(x). I was quite curious if she would approach acting with the same professionalism and dedication as she approaches dancing. She's not exceptional in the acting department but I think with a little more experience under her belt, she can become a wonderful actress.

I think this is the first time I watched a drama from mainland China and well, it's different. When Love Walked In is more dramatic than the Taiwanese dramas that I have watched but the thing is, I don't really know if the focus on melodrama is unique to this particular drama or if it is common in dramas from mainland China. I guess I would have to watch more dramas from mainland China in order to find out.
