SYNOPSIS
Tatsuki Hayako works as a teacher at a small grade school in her hometown. She still lives in the same house she grew up in with her parents, although her younger sister has already gotten married and moved away. Hayako is already 34 years old, but she has no boyfriend and she has no intentions of getting married at all.
Hayako and some of her colleagues decided to put up an unofficial organization called the Marriage Alliance. They will all actively take part in meeting potential marriage partners, and support each other in this challenging endeavor.
REVIEW
Hayako-sensei, Kekkon Surutte Hontō desu ka? is an interesting drama about a woman who seemed to have no interest in marriage at all, but who is actually quite invested in it except she just hasn't found a man she wants to marry.
I suppose it's true that it's very difficult to find someone you can have a serious relationship with, especially someone you can marry in the future and raise a family with. It's not really so much as finding someone you are destined to be with, I don't even know if there really is such a thing as a person you are meant to be with, but just finding someone who shares the same values and who has the same aspirations for the future.
I think it would have been more riveting if the drama had a variety of characters, such as a character who doesn't want to get married, or a character who only considers getting married because society expects them to do so and not because they especially want to.
