SYNOPSIS
This is a story about clothing. It’s about the clothes we wear, the people who make these clothes, and the impact that it's having on our world. It's a story about greed and fear, power and poverty. It's complex, as it extends all the way around the world. But it is also simple, revealing just how connected we are to the many hearts and hands behind our clothes.

I came into this story with no background in fashion at all; beginning with nothing more than a few simple questions. What I've discovered has forever changed how I think about the things I wear. and my hope is that it might just do the same for you.

REVIEW
The True Cost is an interesting documentary of fast fashion; from how the industry came about to how detrimental the industry is to the environment.

I have never been someone to follow fashion trends because of many reasons, and I don't buy clothes and accessories just because it's a new season or whatever. But I'm the exception and not the rule, which explains why fast fashion is thriving.

I would like to recommend The True Cost to everyone, if only so they can question how and buy things, and what they can do to make a difference.

Orsola De Castro: We communicate who we are to a certain extent through clothing... That's what interests me, that it is fundamentally a part of what we wish to communicate about ourselves.

Stephen Colbert: We are once again spending money we don't have on things we don't need to give to people we don't like.
