REVIEW
I really like the musical productions in Glee and to be honest, those scenes are the only reason I kept watching the television series. The funny thing is, I paid close attention to Glee because of The Warblers and they are not even part of the main cast.

I also watched the show because of Quinn Fabray's outfits. It may seem weird to watch a show because of a character's costumes, but there you go. I was really sad that the character left after a few seasons (season 4 to be exact) because well, her dresses were really one of the things I looked forward to.

It took a while for me to get used to the fact that characters in Glee are not permanent, unlike in other television series. But it made sense for characters to come and go as the show is mainly about a high school glee club, and it came to a point that I looked forward to the new characters and their stories.

So it was such a disappointment that Glee isn't really about the glee club, but about certain characters that unfortunately I didn't care much about. I liked Rachel Berry but she commanded much of the screen time when she was in the glee club that I feel I didn't get to know the other characters as much as I wanted to.

So when Rachel and her contemporaries graduated from high school, I was so excited to finally get to know the overlooked characters as well as to meet new characters. I wanted to see how this mix of old and new characters would bond as a team, and succeed in their own quest of achieving show choir acclaim and success.

However, although I got what I expected to see to a certain extent, I ended up following certain characters, Rachel in particular, as they go on to college. I don't know but it felt as if the show lost its direction because it became a show about Rachel and her life, instead of a show about a high school glee club and its members.

Anyway, I kept watching the show halfheartedly because of the musical productions. I figured it couldn't possibly get any worse but I think it did in its last season.

I mean, what are the odds that three former stars of the glee club are back at their alma mater as the director of the glee club (Rachel and Kurt Hummel with the New Directions, and Blaine Anderson with The Warblers at Dalton Academy)?

I know Glee just wanted these characters back but it also sort of sends a message to people not to pursue degrees and careers in the arts. I mean, if these extremely talented and very promising individuals are already failing in their chosen field after a few years, how challenging is the real world going to be for people with big dreams and average artistic abilities?

Surprisingly, Quinn and Noah Puckerman, also known as Puck, are the only members of the glee club that seemed to have it together after high school, and they didn't pursue art degrees and creative careers. It's even more amazing how they turned out considering that they were the problem students in high school and the glee club members who are of average talent.

Also, is it realistic that a public high school has enough funds to have two co-directors and a consultant in Will Schuster? I mean, there's just too many of them, and I think the show just didn't know what to do with all of the recurring characters.
