Seo Eun Gi is Jae Hee's stepdaughter but they are actually close in age. Eun Gi is already a supervisor at her father's conglomerate even through she's only twenty-three years old. Although she has an MBA degree and a shrewd business sense, she constantly have to prove to her father that she is qualified as his successor.

Although Ma Ru tried to forget Jae Hee, he couldn't  quite forgive her for her evil deeds and cruel ways. In order to exact revenge, he purposely tried to get close to her stepdaughter Eun Gi.

REVIEW
I don't like melodramas as a whole so I'm afraid my review will not be as objective as I would like it to be. I have to note that my reviews in general are actually rather more subjective than objective but then again, this is the reason why I'm writing on my own blog and not in an international broadsheet.

Anyway, I honestly don't see most people's fascination with dramas that are such a downer and with characters that can be classified as the most unfortunate people in the world. If you are down in the dumps, wouldn't you prefer to watch productions that actually make you laugh and give you hope? And if you are either in a so-so mindset or in a happy phase, why would you even consider watching tragedies?!

So, in a nutshell, I don't get a lot of things in Nice Guy. I don't get the tragic world and I don't understand the forlorn characters; and to be honest, I don't even want to make sense of them. I do acknowledge that there may be hapless people living miserably in the real world but I would like to believe that they are not as wretched as the fictional characters in melodramas. At least, I hope.

Terrible things happen to Kang Ma Ru one after another that the whole scenario is actually bordering on the ridiculous. Why isn't it enough for one dreadful thing to happen to him? Is he supposed to be more pitiful if he goes through numerous harrowing experiences?

I liked Seo Eun Gi because she's fierce, aggressive, shrewd, and calculating. She doesn't really fit the cookie-cutter mold of a lead female character but that's what makes her refreshing and endearing. It was quite disappointing that her character went through a 360-degree transformation when she had an amnesia but that was quite acceptable because the change was explained by her medical condition.

What was unacceptable is when she became quite stupid when she finally recovered her memories. It's like she recovered everything but her intelligence and common sense. I'm sorry, but there is just no decent way to explain how and why a person failed to notice that the person she's having a lengthy conversation with is bleeding to death.
