SYNOPSIS
Hoshino Arata is an ordinary college student who does not really care about his future. One day, Arata's cell phone gets damaged while he is having lunch with his friends. His friend Moriguchi Rui gives him a recently released limited edition smart phone that he has always wanted.
Arata's new phone has a 'Future Diary' that predicts the future. Several people can access the 'Future Diary' and these individuals are forced to participate in a deadly survival game.
REVIEW
This drama is quite similar to the ライアーゲーム Liar Game series in several ways but I didn't find this drama as interesting. To be honest, I think Mirai Nikki Another World does not have a well-established plot and well-developed characters.
It's quite unbelievable to establish a plot about the future because the future is an abstract concept. Nothing about the future is known in the present and if someone does manage to find out about the future, he has the freedom to act as he sees fit so he can possibly change the course of the future from what is foretold.
