Due to the compounding stress, Chae Ryung's father falls ill and is in need of a heart operation immediately.

Eun Ae Ryung is the eldest child in the Eun household. She's studying to get her doctorate degree while working in an art museum. Although she's in love with someone else, she agrees to marry Jung Jin Goo because of her father's health problems.

Jung Jin Goo is the irresponsible son of a renowned doctor who owns hospitals and museums. Fed up with his son's irresponsible ways, his father sets an ultimatum that Jin Goo should marry a woman that he likes in order to remain in his good graces. Jin Goo met Ae Ryung in a matchmaking session and when his father voiced his approval, he eagerly proposed marriage to Ae Ryung.

Chae Ryung's father gets accused as unintentionally killing Duk Gi due to lack of evidence to prove his innocence. Hyuk Gi and Wook Gi feel sorry to the Eun household, especially for Chae Ryung's father. As a law student, Hyuk Gi vows to help Chae Ryung's father in proving his innocence.

REVIEW
It was a little difficult to write a synopsis for It's Okay, Daddy's Girl because there are a lot of characters and they are all connected in several ways. Each character has a story to tell and although it's good that each character was made relevant, it was a little confusing to keep track of each and everyone.

In most dramas, the main focus is the story of the lead characters and everything else just revolves around this particular story. In this drama though, the development of the love story between the two supposedly lead characters was like an afterthought. There's nothing wrong with the drama's approach, of course. I think I was a little disappointed because I thought it is a romantic comedy but it was in fact, a family drama.

I like Eun Ae Ryung and Ju Jin Goo's story. They weren't really attracted to each other at first and they both entered the marriage with ulterior motives but they really tried to make their relationship work. There were times wherein Jin Goo's faults got the best of him but I suppose that's to be expected.

I really like some of Jin Goo's dialogues and I think it stood out for me because I never expected words of wisdom to come out from someone as immature as he is.
(Jun Jin Goo's speech to Eun Ae Ryung's ex-boyfriend)
Why are you overacting when you guys only made a promise to marry? Why did you only promise and not get married? Were you weighing things out? A younger woman, a woman with better qualifications, the girl you met after Ae Ryung; it was because of those reasons. Was it not? ...
If that's not it then if she has a sick parent, your parents are going to turn her down? Then those calculations? ...
I think you are the one who crossed the line. At a young age, you can promise to each other to get married. And if you do not get married, that's the end. Why are you at your ex-girlfriend's in-laws' house? ...
Then, if I say take her right now, will you take her? You won't. Then what are you here to dispute about? 'You left me, but don't forget me? Regret losing me? Don't live well?' Or to fight with me? ...
Ah, you weighed out your options with Dean Lee's daughter. What university dean? No matter how big that university is, Ae Ryung's father-in-law is the director and owner of Manin Hospital. Her mother-in-law is the owner of Manin Development and the Manin Art Center. Ae Ryung's mother-in-law's siblings are investors in Manin Buildings and owners of Manin stocks. And all that will be inherited by Ae Ryung's husband, me.
I like Ae Ryung better than any dean's daughter or even girls with better qualifications. Why did you choose Dean Lee's daughter, leaving Ae Ryung?
If you think it is pitiable to judge a household, then let's compare man to man. I said 'let's get married' and went through with it. And you proposed 'let's get married' a hundred times. Looking at it in any way, I'm better than you. Ae Ryung got married well. Wouldn't it be less embarrassing for you if you leave now?

I didn't really like Jin Goo as a character but after hearing this impassioned speech, I was already behind him. I just know that he's going to come around eventually and he's going to deserve a happy ending with Ae Ryung.
