REVIEW
Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me)
Easy A clearly presented how statements can be twisted in many different ways as these statements get passed along from person to person. Over time, I have personally taken care of what I say and how I say it because I don't know how other people will interpret what I say.

I try to live by the adage 'If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all'. I interpret it even further as 'If my intentions are not good, don't say anything at all'. I try not to spread rumors about other people, especially if the rumors will damage their reputation. When people speak badly of other people in front of me, I try to either tell these people to stop talking about the topic or change the topic. I think it's not okay to gossip, especially if people have bad intentions.

Olive Penderghast seems mature and well-adjusted for her age but she still craves to be accepted by her peers, or at least known by the other people in her class. I suppose that's the case with everyone, we all want to be accepted socially.

I really like Olive's family. Her parents are sarcastic at times but they are well-meaning, so it's no wonder that Olive grew up the way she is. Olive is also sarcastic but she has a good heart. It was really kind of her to lie for the outcasts in her high school to help them fit in, especially considering that it's at the expense of her reputation and image.

I wonder if Olive and Rhiannon are really the best of friends, and I'm seriously skeptical that Rhiannon even knows the definition of a 'best friend'. Rhiannon does not seem to know Olive well enough to know that she wouldn't actually do the things people are saying she did. At the very least, Rhiannon wouldn't even listen to Olive as she tries tell the truth. Although Rhiannon knew that Olive liked Todd, she kissed Todd and didn't even tell Olive.
