REVIEW
Yankee Bokō ni Kaeru is about a private high school who started a policy of accepting drop-outs from all over high school. The delinquents have caused so many problems, that even their parents have given up on them.

On one hand, I think it's great that Hokusei Yoichi High School has become a place where people who had nowhere to go can stay. On the other hand, I don't think it's a good idea to lump all the so-called problem students in one place.

Takahashi Noriyuki: You've got this many guys here who once ruled their home turf. Everyone is desperate. Who's above, and who's below; of course, there will be disagreement.
Adachi Toshiko: So what?
Takahashi Noriyuki: If you are looked down on and you admit defeat, then you'll just keep on losing. Everyone is thinking to avoid that.

Yankee Bokō ni Kaeru showed the importance of teachers and schools. I suppose schools felt like home, teachers served as parental figures, and friends became family for some people.
