SYNOPSIS
Han Sung Wan and Jung Se Jin bump into each other in the airport and accidentally exchange passports with each other. They meet later in the day and the two commiserate on their particular love issues together. They end up getting drunk and sleeping with each other.

Back in South Korea, Se Jin finds out that she's pregnant with Sung Wan's child. She approaches Sung Wan and tries to tell him about their problem but she changes her mind and ends up not telling Sung Wan that she's pregnant. Se Jin decides to keep the baby and assume sole responsibility for her child.

However, Se Jin's older sister grew tired of taking care of her niece. So when Se Jin went away, she took her niece Shin Bi to Sung Wan's family and asks them to take care of the child.

When Se Jin and her mother finds out, they approach Sung Wan's family to get Shin Bi back. Sung Wan's parents, especially his father, also want to keep the baby. In the end, the family elders decide to get Sung Wan and Se Jin married so that both of them can raise Shin Bi together.

REVIEW
I felt sorry for Jung Se Jin's character when I watched Wonderful Life. She's an intelligent person with big dreams and it looks like she's actually capable of making her dreams a reality. But because she had gotten pregnant, she had to make some changes in her life plans.

I also felt bad for Han Shin Bi's character. Although her parents grew to love her, her father initially thought of her as a result of an accident. It was also sad that people say she's not a child born out of love because her parents did not love each other when they slept together.

This is one of the few dramas wherein I actually rooted for the lead girl to end up with the second lead guy. Min Do Hyun seemed so much better than Han Sung Wan in so many ways; he is more mature and he is actually in love with Jung Se Jin right from the start.

I tend to judge people based on their choices and decisions. The fact that Sung Hwan is still hopelessly in love with his girlfriend Lee Chae Young who two-timed him with another guy just ruined him for me. I especially don't get why he hates the other guy but he does not think badly of his girlfriend or his girlfriend's actions.

In a way, I think this drama talks about how sometimes things don't turn out the way we want them to but it's okay. Se Jin did not get to pursue her dreams of becoming a diplomat but she found another career she can be successful at. Although Sung Hwan and Se Jin did not marry each other out of love, they ended up falling in love with each other. Although the two did not go through the relationship in the proper order (they had a baby first and then got married and then fell in love), they still lived happily ever after.

I think this is a comforting thought in a way. But it is a disheartening thought at the same time. Oh well, I suppose it really depends on how you look at things and if you choose to focus on the good things instead of the bad things.
