SYNOPSIS
Pom, a high school student in a Bangkok suburb, has been secretly in love with Dao, a schoolmate with musical interests. Pom accidentally finds out that Dao will apply to the College of Music at Mahidol University and he makes an impromptu decision to follow her there.

Pom hasn't told his parents of his decision to pursue a music degree and they think he is actually going to medical school. During dinner, Pom's father shared with his family how his friend allowed his daughter to pursue a music degree and his parents discussed their worries that people who take music courses won't be able to find decent jobs when they graduate.

Back at school, Pom searches for the daughter of his father's friend, Aom. Aom is musically inclined but she has some trouble with keeping pace with people when they have to play together.

Pom and Aom become good friends and Aom starts to see Pom in a romantic light. However, Dao has also noticed Pom and the two of them began hanging out instead.

REVIEW
Seasons Change is about the youth falling in love, making random choices that change their lives in a lot of ways, and eventually growing up.

I don't really like how the protagonist decided to just follow his crush wherever she goes; to the university she wants to attend as well as applying for a scholarship to the city she will go to for further studies. It's like he's not taking things seriously and I'm surprised I didn't hate the character.

Perhaps Pom is just meant to be at the music conservatory because music is his hidden passion and he met Aom there, someone who could be the love of his life. It's like the universe is helping him go to where he should be and do what he should do.

I think he didn't need to go to the music conservatory because he will discover his passion for music eventually. And since Aom's dad and his dad are good friends, there are numerous other instances wherein Pom and Aom could have met.

I think I'm entertaining possible what-if scenarios because I feel bad for Aom. Since Pom is preoccupied with his crush Dao, he cannot see what a wonderful girl Aom is. It seemed to me that Aom was very much invested in their friendship and she reads so much meaning into Pom's actions but from Pom's point of view, he was just being the typical nice guy that he is.

I don't really like how vague the ending was in terms of the reasoning behind why Pom decided to stay in Thailand. I think it means he has decided to stop making split-second decisions regarding his life based on a girl's decisions about her life, which is really a good lesson to learn.

I'm secretly hoping one of the main reasons behind his decision to forgo a scholarship abroad is Aom and how much he likes her and how he wants to be with her. I usually find these situations cheesy and unwarranted; but in Aom and Pom's world, I would gladly accept this reasoning.
