SYNOPSIS
Miyahara Kazuya seems to live an ordinary high school life but he is extremely fastidious about not touching dirty things. He was bullied in elementary school for being a clean freak, and so he tries to not let that fact be known with his high school classmates.

Kazuya has a secret crush on his seatmate Nakamura Ayami, who always rushes home after school to help her mother take care of her grandmother Izawa Sachiko. Sachiko has dementia, and she sometimes slips back into her memories as a young girl.

One day after class, Kazuya runs into Sachiko, who is digging a hole in the woods at a shrine. Sachiko mistakes him for her late husband Izawa Tadanobu, and grips his hand. Kazuya panics inside because Sachiko's hands were dirty, but his shock soon wears off.

Ayami sees her grandmother smiling happily with her classmate Kazuya. After figuring out that her grandmother slipped back in time, Ayami acts along and implores Kazuya to do the same.

REVIEW
Kaseki no Hohoemi is an interesting story about young love when you have personal issues you have deal with.

Miyahara Kazuya is a clean freak so and he has a hypersensitive reaction when he accidentally touches his classmate Nakamura Ayumi's hand, he isn't certain if it's because of his condition or if it's because he has a crush on her.

It's fascinating how Kazuya and Ayumi both made decisions on what school to go to for high school with special considerations, Kaziya because he wants to make a fresh start with people he didn't know when he was younger and Ayumi because she has to take care of her mother after school.

For most people, they make decisions on what school to go to because it is the best school and would help bring many amazing opportunities. But I suppose people also consider a lot of other factors, such as whether the school is affordable or not and if whether the school is near or far from home.

Anyway, Kazuya ran into Fukada Kensuke in high school, he was the one who used to bully Kazuya in elementary school. Kensuke was also bullied in middle school and like Kazuya, he chose his high school because he wants to make a fresh start.

Kaseki no Hohoemi handles bullying in a refreshing way Kensuke seems to have realized he was wrong and he seemed to want to make amends with Kazuya. Kensuke also seems to have changed his ways, and he is no longer a bully.

I'm glad that Kensuke has changed, but things don't always turn out that way. And even though Kensuke has changed, his careless actions as a bully has already affected Kazuya in many ways.
