SYNOPSIS
フラガール Hula Girls (Soundtrack) - Hula GirlCoal mining used to be the primary industry in Iwaki, a small town in northern Japan. However, the coal mines are closing down and the townspeople will lose their major source of income.
The mining company proposed a plan to promote the town as a spa resort with a Hawaiian theme. Hot springs in the area will provide the heat and humidity to the spa facilities. Although most of the people are skeptical, the company pursued their plans and hired a Hirayama Madoka, dance instructor from Tokyo, to teach hula dancing to the local girls.
Kimiko, encouraged by her best friend Sanae, joined the hula dancing class. A few other girls also attended the class although their parents are against it.
