SYNOPSIS
星野源 Hoshino Gen - 恋 (Love)Moriyama Mikuri has a difficult time getting properly employed and establishing a career. She has a graduate degree but she couldn't find a good company who's willing to hire her full-time. She worked on a temporary contract arrangement but when it came to choose among the contractual employees, Mikuri wasn't chosen even though she was more qualified.
Because she is unemployed, Mikuri accepted a part-time job as a housekeeper. Tsuzaki Hiramasa needs someone to come clean his apartment once a week. Hiramasa has a very fastidious personality, and he couldn't find anyone who can do the work in his satisfaction.
Mikuri and Hiramasa decide to get married to keep up appearances in society, but they actually have an employer-and-employee relationship who happen to live together.
REVIEW
Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu is an interesting drama about two people with strange personalities who happen to find an unconventional way of living that works for them.
Moriyama Mikuri and Tsuzaki Hiramasa got married so that they can live together without raising too many questions from the people around them. Hiramasa is actually hiring Mikuri as a lived-in housekeeper.
The drama raises the issue of how the housewife has a difficult and thankless job of taking care of the family; from looking after the needs of the husband and children to cleaning the house. Although housewives don't get paid and are supposed to be doing their job out of love, being a housewife still something that takes a lot of resolve since it's a role that they have take on 24/7.
