SYNOPSIS
Student of the Year - Radha
The student body of the prestigious St. Theresa's College is divided into two groups: the Tata students and the Bata students. Tata students gain admission to the school because their wealthy parents give substantial donations. Bata students get in because of full academic scholarships, and they usually come from less affluent families.

Dean Yogendra Vasish organizes the Student of the Year (SOTY) competition, where the winner gets a full scholarship to an ivy league school abroad.

Rohan Nanda, also known as Ro, is the leader of the Tata students or the ABCs (affluent brats and their companions). He has a complicated relationship with his father Ashok Nanda, and Rohan wants to win the SOTY competition to gain his father's recognition and respect.

Shanaya Singhania is the most beautiful and the most popular girl in the school. She seems to have everything that she could ever want, except for love. She has been Rohan's girlfriend for four years, but Rohan's careless approach to their relationship makes her question if she's with the right guy.

Abhimanyu Singh, also known as Abhi, was orphaned at a young age and he is studying in St. Theresa's College on a full scholarship. He is an ambitious young man, and he needs to win the SOTY competition so that he doesn't have to worry of financial costs of getting a good education.

REVIEW
Student of the Year is a fun movie about the youth, and their friendships and relationships. Because it is told in flashbacks by supporting characters, you are inevitably curious about what happened with the main characters in the past and you wonder about their relations to each other in the present.

Everything about the film was mediocre, from the script to the actors, and I'm especially disappointed with the musical productions. It wasn't terribly awful, but it wasn't exceptionally memorable either.
