SYNOPSIS
Jin Pal Gang is a 25-year-old insurance agent at JK Company. She's irresponsible with her money and frequently goes on debt. Pal Gang is in love with Won Kang Ha, a lawyer at her company, and she frequently spends a lot of money on her appearance so that her crush will pay attention to her.

Won Kang Ha seems to be the ideal man; he is smart, successful, and good-looking. Kang Ha's only flaw is his bad behavior, and most people describe him as a person without a heart. Kang Ha's younger brother Won Jun Ha also works at JK Company as a team leader.

A car accident suddenly kills Pal Gang's parents and she becomes the sole guardian of her five younger siblings Jin Ju Hwang, Jin No Rang, Jin Cho Rok, Jin Pa Rang, and Jin Nam Yi.

REVIEW
At first, Jin Pal Gang seems to be an extreme person for not taking care of her finances and for buying things she does not need. But when you think about it, she's a typical person of her age in this society. Unfortunately for Pal Gang, she had to grow up unexpectedly due to family circumstances.

There are some aspects of Wish Upon A Star that are quite unbelievable actually. For instance, the reasoning why she had to stay in Won Kang Ha's home with her siblings. Another is why Kang Ha and Pal Gang had to be apart although they both love each other.

But other than that, the drama is quite interesting: seeing Pal Gang evolve from being selfish to being selfless, and watching her transform from being immature to becoming a surrogate mother to her siblings.

I didn't like that Kang Ha and his younger brother Won Jun Ha both fall in love with Pal Gang. It's not that brothers can't fall in love with the same girl; they could, of course, but it's really awkward to watch though.

The development over time of Pal Gang's love story with Kang Ha was fascinating as their relationship was understated and mature. I like how Kang Ha wanted to be the prince charming who will provide for Pal Gang and her family but he is also willing to just support Pal Gang as she realizes her dreams and becomes the provider for her siblings.

It's nice to see a lead female character against the idea of being a Cinderella. Although Kang Ha proposed marriage to Pal Gang, she said she can't marry him until she realizes her dream of becoming the top insurance agent at her company. She ended up agreeing to marry him before realizing her dream due to some family matters but it's nice that she's not relying on her prince charming to make everything alright.
