SYNOPSIS
Tsukumo Ryusuke is a brilliant neurologist and scientist who starts working at the National Research Institute of Police Science, which is part of the National Police Agency.

The National Research Institute of Police Science is composed of an elite group of scientists that conducts research on crimes and criminals, which helps the National Police Agency in their criminal investigations.

Yuri Kazune used to work in a different department but she was transferred in the Neurology Unit under Tsukumo Ryusuke. Kazune was initially unhappy with her transfer because she doesn't know anything about neurology but she became interested in it over time.

Although Ryusuke should be doing research work, he focuses his efforts on helping the police in their investigations in order to find the perpetrators. He also encourages the other staff in his office to do the same.

REVIEW
Mr. Brain is an interesting drama about neuroscience and neuroscientists. Neuroscience is the study of how the nervous system develops and how it normally functions. It is also concerned with what happens to the nervous system when people have neurological and psychiatric disorders. Neuroscientists focus on the brain, and its impact on behavior and cognitive functions.

I really like Mr. Brain because I have learned quite a lot about the human brain and practical applications of knowledge in neuroscience.

Tsukumo Ryusuke: If you put neuroscience to practical use, you can easily make the object of your affection reciprocate your feelings... In the human brain, you see, things in the left field of vision are processed by the right brain and things in the right field of vision are processed by the left brain. The right brain is better at making decisions like, 'Is this male or female' so if the left half of a picture is female, it will decide that it's a woman. If the left half of a picture is male, then it will decide it's a man. So if you want a certain someone to notice your femininity or masculinity, you should try to stay in their left field of vision.

Tsukumo Ryusuke: You can figure out if a person is lying quite easily. In a human brain, when a person lies, the left brain works really hard. In order to make sure the lie is consistent, it references memories and must work in a very logical manner. The left brain controls the right field of vision. So when people tell lies, they unconsciously look up and to the right.
