SYNOPSIS
Art student Seo In Ha and shy beauty Kim Yoon Hee met and fell in love with each other during college in the 1970s but unfortunately their love was fated to never be and they eventually got married to other people.
Now in the present 21st century, Seo Joon ( Seo In Ha's son) meets and becomes infatuated with Jung Ha Na (Kim Yoon Hee's daughter).
Seo Joon is disillusioned with love after witnessing his mother's suffering because his father cannot forget his first love.
Cheerful Ha Na wants to experience a love as grand as her mother's first romance, which left her mother with wonderful memories.
Seo Joon and Ha Na are in the precarious early stage of romantic relationships when they find out that Seo Joon's father and Ha Na's mother were romantically involved in the past. Will their love for each other keep them together or will they have to face the same fate as their parents?
REVIEW
I have misgivings about Love Rain and I don't think the story is very interesting. I honestly don't think anyone would want to be in the position of any of the characters; (1) definitely not Seo In Ha and Kim Yoon Hee who were in love with each other in the past but had to go their separate ways, and (2) definitely not their respective children Seo Joon (Seo In Ha's son) and Jung Ha Na (Kim Yoon Hee's daughter) who meet and fall in love only to find out early in their relationship that their parents were and still are in love with each other. I mean, talk about complicated family dynamics!
To be honest, I'm really freaked out that Seo In Ha and Kim Yoon Hee are still in love with each other after this time because well, they married other people and had children with their respective spouses. I can't help but question if they truly loved their respective spouses, and is that possible while they are still in love with their respective first loves?
This is basically like the re-worked version of the movie 클래식 The Classic.
